Did you know that our brain is like the types of memory in our computer? Yes, it is. Our computers have two kinds of memory where it stores its data and information. The first one is the primary memory or the RAM (random-access memory). RAM is powered simply by electricity which means data are stored as electrical signals in memory chips. So if there's a power interruption on your PC, expectedly the data stored in the RAM will be lost. Sometimes RAM is also called short-term memory.
Second type of memory is the one that uses magnetic disks to where it stores its data in. Yeah, that is your hard disk drive. That is using magnetic plates to store your data. And in storing your data, it uses a special disk head—which serves like a pen—that writes your data on the disk. So never ever bang your PC anymore, okay? This type of memory is also referred as long-term memory. For even if there's a power interruption or upsurge, data on the disk is mostly retrievable.
That's it! Like humans, we also have short- and long-term memory types. So make sure to store only the good, happy events into your long-term memory. Have the bad ones to be temporarily stored in your short-term memory.
Always have and live a healthy spirit!
